What To Do About Earwax (Cerumen)
Earwax (cerumen) is a waxy material produced and deposited in the outer ear to protect the ear from damaging substances such as germs, dirt, and water. Even if you try to clean wax out, it can become impacted in and around the eardrum, causing temporary hearing loss. You may not sense the dry, waxy substance, but if it’s present it can cause hearing loss temporarily. Cleaning your ears yourself can worsen the situation because it can compact the wax.
We can safely remove ear wax for you. Give us a call or text to set up an appointment. We’ll evaluate any hearing problems you are experiencing. If earwax caused the issue, we’ll clean out the earwax immediately.
